April Monthly Summary

Group collaboration this past month: Ray Harmon, Mariatu Swayne and Kyndra Haggard

As we close out this semester we can reflect on what we have learned. Our group has meshed well since the beginning. Our group stay connected through email and held each other accountable for their portion of the work.
Throughout this semester, we researched educators, history and organizations affiliated with adult and community education. For a final project we put together and E-archive via a website of our research. Kyndra created the website so group members could add their pieces of information.  The website was fun to create and a great way to display all the assignments we worked very hard on this semester. Ray and Mari helped review the site to make sure all worked properly before we published the site.  Our hope is that other students of the 631 course view this and find the information useful. We know that we learned immensely from the various research we conducted.
Another neat piece to our project was the survival video. Mari put this together and really helped our group shine. She included graphics to really spice up the video. It was nice because we all had very similar advice to future students of this class.
Overall, we feel this has been a great learning experience in four core areas: group work, online collaboration, technology and obviously the course content. We all have also improved our APA skills which we will need as well move through our Masters programs.
Working together can be tough. We have learned to respect each other’s opinions and also how to handle situations that come up with group members. This is inevitable.

As a close we would like to say good luck to future students of  EDAC 631 and to all of our classmates as they continue to reach their educational goals!

We believed we could and so we did… with excellence!

                   Have a wonderful summer y'all!

  1. I agree with your four core areas covered in the course. The synthesis of all of this was critical to success in this class. Great job this semester, you have a great summer as well!
